B.Tech. in CSE - Data Science is a four-year full-time undergraduate program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to extract meaningful insights from data and develop data-driven solutions for real-world challenges. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in data science principles, statistical analysis, data mining, machine learning, big data analytics, data visualization, cloud computing, and business intelligence.
The program emphasizes the development of analytical thinking, statistical and mathematical reasoning, programming skills, problem-solving abilities, and data visualization techniques. Students are trained to collect, process, analyze, and interpret large volumes of structured and unstructured data, enabling them to make informed decisions and solve complex business and societal problems.
With the exponential growth of digital data across industries, Data Science has emerged as one of the most sought-after disciplines in the modern technological landscape. Organizations worldwide are increasingly leveraging data-driven strategies to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and gain a competitive advantage. The B.Tech. in CSE - Data Science program prepares students to meet these industry demands by providing hands-on experience with modern tools and technologies, industry-oriented projects, internships, and research opportunities. Ms. N. L. Tejaswini is the Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering – Data Science. She completed her B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. She has 3 years of experience as a Head of the Department and has several years of teaching experience in engineering education.
She is committed to providing quality education and helping students build strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and professional values. She encourages students to learn, innovate, and grow in their careers. Her dedication to teaching, continuous learning, and academic excellence has contributed to the development and success of the department.

Engineering Graduates will be able to:
- PO1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
- PO2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
- PO3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
- PO4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
- PO5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
- PO6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
- PO7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
- PO8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

Artificial Intelligence and Data Science graduates will be able to:
- PEO1: Graduate shall develop actionable competency in the realm of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and Blockchain
